Alice-Miranda is off on a new adventure – and this time she’s heading to…

Lots of readers have been asking me where Alice-Miranda is headed next. So, here are some clues. This country is famous for many things; golf, tartan, bagpipes…have you got it yet? A certain monster in a loch, a castle perched on a high cliff overlooking a city, rolling green hills, whiskey and haggis.

If you’ve guessed Scotland then you’d be right. I can’t reveal too much more as I’ve only written 15,000 words but there will be lots of fun, friends, enemies, a big mystery and plenty of laughs too. I’ve been back at my desk since the 27th December and have a deadline that I don’t even want to think about – fortunately I’m loving the story, so hopefully the words will continue to flow and I’ll make my targets each day.

I look forward to sharing more very soon and I hope that Alice-Miranda in Scotland will be on your reading list for later in the year.

    Hi Tamara,

Alice-Miranda and her friends (including some old friends) travel to Scotland to be involved in a special event- as part of the Queens Colours.

    Best wishes,

That sounds great! I wonder if Caprice will want to be the best again, like in Alice-Miranda at Camp!

I just finished reading Alice Miranda In The Alps (which is amazing!!!) and can’t wait for the latest book to come out so that I can add it to my collection. I have a feeling that Alethia will be back and that Caprice will turn over a new leaf. Maybe even some new friends or long lost relatives?

        Hi Georgia,

I am so happy that you enjoyed AM in the Alps – it was such a fun story to write. There are now 17 books in the collection so you’ve got quite a few still to read as the Alps is number 12 in the series. Alethea and Caprice will definitely surprise you along the way. I’m writing number 18 at the moment and Caprice and Millie are having some problems!

        Best wishes,

PLEASE!! Can you tell us where Alice Miranda lives this is my second letter and nobody has responded! It would make so much more sense if I knew. (I’m guessing it’s not Australia because they can drive to the palace of the queen)

      Jacqueline Harvey

      Hi Ashley,

I have actually never specified which country Alice-Miranda lives in – although given there is a queen and there are lots of villages I guess in my mind it’s more England than anywhere else (although it could be Australia too if you wanted it to be). I wanted readers to make up their own minds.

      Best wishes,

I made up this place called Willow Island. It’s exactly like Alice-Mirandas home. Also, I have a weird feeling that Kiko from Alice-Miranda in Japan is going to be in this book. Am I right?

        Thanks! 🙂

Great name – I love Willow Island. Sorry – no Kiko in the next book. I thought about it but there are others I wanted there more.

Out of curiosity, where does Alice Miranda actually live? I mean, I know she lives in Highton Hall and knows the Queen, and so most likely lives in England, but what state does she live in?

Hope you can finish it in time!
I can’t believe how many stories there are now! I started reading them just after the 4th Alice Miranda was released!

Yes there are lots of books – I really can’t believe that I’ve written that many :). It’s just as well I still adore Alice-Miranda and all her friends so while ever I love them I can’t see a reason to stop writing the books.

I am a tiny bit Scottish. I was born in England, but I live in New Zealand.
I REALLY like the picture of Alice Miranda. Her dress looks STUNNING. I LOVE the background. (That’s because my favorite colour is blue ).
I was just reading an other comment and it said: What’s the next Alice Miranda book? (Well that’s what I think it says).
I’m super excited about the new Alice Miranda game!!!!!!!!

Hey Jacqueline
I have a question,
Why did you choose Scotland as a next adventure?
Why not some other place?

January 7, 2018 at 10:31 pm

    Jacqueline Harvey

    Hi Kanita,

I’ve travelled to Scotland a number of times and really love it. There’s lots of folklore and history and given it’s one of my favourite places I thought why not. I have a lot of Scottish friends and connections too – which means I can consult with them on the story when I need to.

I’m really enjoying writing the story – and who knows where she’ll go next.

    Best wishes,
    Jacqueline

Hi Jacqueline!
I can’t wait till the new Alice-Miranda book is released. It’s by far my favourite series of yours but I think Kensy and Max might grow on me too! I like your picture book ‘The Sound of the Sea’ too, it’s really sweet.
Also, when’s the new TV series going to start?
From Holly 🙂
P.S. I think my favourite characters might be Jacinta and Lucas.

Same! I absolutely LOVE Jacinta. Plus I read a comment with Jacinta and Lucas: Together they’re Lucinta! It’s fab. Hey maybe when they grow up like adults they’ll name their daughter Lucinta! Like Lucinda. She’s great too. I loved it when she stood up to her dad. So brave. Felt bad for her after her punishment. btw loving the ‘lucinta’ thing. If only Caprice would stop annoying them.

P.S Jacqueline ( if ur reading this) ur books r the greatest ever!!! Won’t ever stop reading them. Even when I’m an adult. :3

That’s SO COOL!!! : D
I LOVE Alice mirander SO SO MUCH! Although I got a bit confused reading number 15, I decided it was a GREAT book! I like to read stories and books over and over again so I get what it’s saying. I’ve only read #15 once but it’s still COOL. I would LOVE to read about Kensy and Max, they sound fantastic.

My class thought that you’d have to be a nerd to read for pleasure but I disagreed and told every kid so. Even the teacher!

Now they are afraid not to pick up a book and read it! : D
At least they thank me for showing them the world of books!

Even at my school too. If they read they would be as smart as my bffs keira, sofie and i. we are above average pretty much every subject. And books r a completely different world. Pulls u out of reality and lets ur imagination run wild.

Reading is so important. It sounds as if you and your friends all know that well – and it will make you much smarter and kinder and able to understand what other people are going through in life. And yes – it’s wonderful to use your imagination as well 🙂

Same with me,Bella! I also found book 15 confusing, (that’s because it was my first Alice Miranda book.)

    January 15, 2018 at 9:07 am

      Jacqueline Harvey

Perhaps Kyla it would be a good idea to go back to the beginning and then you’ll have a really good handle on who all the characters are (even though you don’t have to read them in order!).

Hi!! I absolutely can not wait for the next A-M!!
I was thinking about this the other night, and I though to myself, “well, an Alice-Miranda book normally comes out every February and September. But since Kenzie and Max are coming out, Jacqueline wont have enough time. Maybe it’ll come out in June? That’d be smart. ”
And I was right!!
I love Alice-Miranda!! I miss reading about her, and her friends!!

Tay❤

Btw, how old is Millie? Is she 12? And is Sloane 12? I’m quite confused, because in A-M #7 it says
“Millie walked between the 2 older girls” Or something along hose lines.
And I knew that Cinta is 13 (now) and that Millie is 12,so I Sloane like a few months older? I’m quite confused.

Btw sorry for this being so long!! I just havent been on here in ages, and I miss finding out about his stuff!!

January 15, 2018 at 11:50 pm

    Jacqueline Harvey

    Hi Taylah,

I couldn’t have done an Alice-Miranda at the same time I was doing Kensy and Max so you’re right about the change of scheduling. Millie and Sloane are roughly the same age – Sloane is a little older than Millie (almost 13 in the next book) and Jacinta is a year older.

Hope you’ve had a lovely holiday – I know you’re back at school this week in QLD. NSW have another week or so off.

    Best wishes,

I love Alice Miranda sooo much I can’t wait until Alice Miranda in Scotland comes out.
I have a few questions though. Where does she live? Did Cecelia immigrate to the country they are living in now? because Highton’s on fifth is in NYC and she grew up in America and last which country is Aunty Gee monarch of?

Miu

P.S My fave character is Chessie.

January 16, 2018 at 5:24 pm

    Jacqueline Harvey

    Hi Miu,

Well I can’t easily answer some of those questions as I’ve never divulged where AM lives. It could be Australia or England or perhaps somewhere like England. I’ve always left it up to readers to work out for themselves. Cecelia comes from the same country as Hugh. Her parents owned Hightons stores all over the world. I love Chessie too and she’s having a good amount of air time in Scotland.

    Best wishes,
    Jacqueline

Hi there
I am so excited it is coming out around my birthday!
How many AM books are you planning to have in the series?
And where are you having the book launch for AM in Scotland and Kensy and Max?

Grace

January 17, 2018 at 6:07 pm

    Jacqueline Harvey

    Hi Grace,

At this stage, I am contracted for 18 but I suspect we will be going to at least 20. If the fans keep reading them then I will definitely keep writing them (and I love AM and her friends too much to give them up). There will be various launches for Kensy and Max around the country. I will post details asap. Not sure about AM Scotland yet but I think that will be a fun dress up opportunity!

Maybe to finish the series you could do a 20yrs in the future thing at the end of the last book

      Hi Jacqueline
      Only 20!
I LOVE Alice-Miranda and all her friends and their Adventures! I Can imagine at least 30! after all you have left hints about new books everywhere! Lucinda coming! Coco coming! More Queens colors events! Sasha coming! But of course I know they can’t keep coming forever, after all before we know it Alice-Miranda will be a grumpy 16-year-old! At the moment I’m 13 and obsessed with reading! Swear to God; I read about 1 and a half 250page books in a day! (I read during Lunch and Recces!) I think I told you a while back in a different forum but one day I want to be an author and teacher one day, Just like you! Speaking of which; How do you become a “famous” author? I’ve written countless books long and short but how do you get them into the ‘Real’ World?

      From Your #1 Fan,
      Katherine

P.S I have a great idea for a AM book! Can I email it to you? If so whats your email?

        Katherine

Also I’m looking forward to Miss Grimm’s Baby! Can you name her Katherine? Please?

You are a inspiration to all,
        Katherine

        Hi Katherine,

I have loads of ideas for more Alice-Miranda books so they’ll be coming for a while yet. That’s great you enjoy writing so much and you have a very clear ambition about what you want to do in life. I recommend that you enter as many writing competitions as you can so that will get your name out there and it gives you a foot in the door with publishers. I’m afraid I can’t disclose the name of Miss Grimm’s baby yet but soon!

        Best wishes,
        Jacqueline

Thanks! I did enter a short story contest with my best friend with a story called “Guffy The Cat” We didn’t win a prize but it was loads of fun creating it! I can’t wait to meet Miss Grimm’s Baby! One thing though will the baby be called ‘Something’ Grimm or ‘Something’ Grump? I know I’m being persistent but do have an email that you can give out to fans?
I know I probably seem a bit annoying but I really do have a great idea for a AM Book!

          And Future Author,

I love your books so much! I’ve been reading them since the first one came out.
Here are some questions that I have, 1. Will Caprice finally become a better person? 2. Will Sasha & Blade come back in future books? Because I really want to see more future chemistry with Sasha and Millie. 3. Do you think Sep or Sloane will get a love life or some more character development?

That’s all thanks <3

January 18, 2018 at 10:57 pm

    Jacqueline Harvey

    Hi Minnie,

Argh – Caprice – she’s an ongoing issue isn’t she? In Scotland she hasn’t been playing nicely at all but I think she’s going to play a role in helping everyone at the end. Sasha gets a mention in Scotland as he and Millie have been exchanging letters, so you never know. Sep and Sloane’s love lives are a little on hold but they are very involved in the Scotland story.

Hope that answers your questions for now.

    Best wishes,
    Jacqueline

Thank for answering! I freaked out a bit because I’m a huge fan of this series!! <33

I’m so excited when the new book realeases. I love all the characters and I relate to Jacinta a lot since I’m around the same age as her. Hopefully they’ll be some in stock in my area because I always race to get your books.

I’ve just read all the harry potters in 42 days while reading 13 other books
And 8 of those where Alice Miranda
My mum says I read book quickly and understand them well too since I’m only ten.

Oh My Goodness!!! You could be a writer in the future! When I was ten I could read almost like that. Keep up the good work, Tamara!

When you get to be twelve(like me) you might have too much homework and no time to read. You would have to tell your teacher if that happens. : )

Are you going to do an Alice Miranda in Australia?

Hi Jacqueline Harvey,
I’m a big fan and I aspire to be an author like you one day! I can’t wait to read about Alice Miranda’s adventures in Scotland and I am also very excited to watch the Alice Miranda TV show. I was wondering if I would be able to watch it in New Zealand and if so which channel?
I’m also eagerly waiting to read about the extraordinary mysteries that Kensy and Max face as I love mystery series some of my favourites being by Enid Blyton (One of my favourite authors besides from you and Roald Dahl).

January 21, 2018 at 8:12 pm

    Jacqueline Harvey

Thank you for your lovely words – I can’t wait until everyone can read Kensy and Max too! I’m sure that you will get to be able to watch Alice-Miranda in NZ – but I’m just not sure about the avenue for that at the moment. Fingers crossed I have some good new soon. It sounds like you and I have very similar taste in books as I adored Enid Blyton when I was a girl and I love Roald Dahl too.

    Best wishes,

Ps. I can’t get enough of AM. I’m 14 going on 15 and have been obsessed since the first 3 books came out. And also being a Lucinta fan, are Lucas and Jacinta 13-14? And are there many lucinta moments in AM in Scotland?
I love your books and hope you keep writing for many years to come.

      Hi Gemma,

Thank you for your kind words and enthusiasm- it is great that you continue to enjoy the stories- I hear from many fans who are well into their high school years- it is important to read the books that you enjoy!

Lucas and Jacinta are 14 and, yes, there are some pivotal Lucinta moments in Alice-Miranda in Scotland:).

Do you think one day they’ll be a movie on Alice Miranda one day? Or a set some sort of movie series? That would be so cool! 🙂

Darshana

I bet. Alice Miranda is going to Scotland. I love your books Jacqueline Harvey! Wonder if Caprice is up to no good. I can wait till the book comes out. Try making a book involving Alice Miranda and her friends going to Hawaii or Fiji! Going diving and snorkeling for the first time! Alice Miranda us so nice and cunning she is my best friend. I love reading Alice miranda stories. So far I’m up to reading Alice miranda Shines Bright. Mr Parker ( myrtles husband) was in coma for 3 years, and he’s gone missing with the nurse! This is a nail biting mystery which Alice Miranda and her friends try to solve. Jacinta is also super duper sad because of moving to another school and leaving her friends. She hardly talks to them. She tries to get in trouble so she doesn’t need to leave on her new school check out and gets to stay. Alice Miranda has 2 things to juggle at a time. Please replie back! Love your books! Stay Alice Miranda!

    Hi Darshana,

Yes, Scotland it is! Thank you for your kind words and such interest in the stories. I’m currently in the throes of the structural edit for Alice-Miranda in Scotland. There is some interesting news on school changes and I can’t imagine Caprice not being involved in something:).

Thank you for your destination ideas – I’m sure that Alice-Miranda and her friends would love diving and snorkelling in such beautiful places.

I really love reading about Alice-Miranda and Clementine Rose! I hope that one day I will be a writer just like you! But maybe not as awesome…
I can NOT wait for Alice-Miranda in Scotland. If you know it’s publish date then could you please tell me? 🙂

I think Alice-Miranda would have such an amazing time in Australia. She could ride horses in the outback or go to the opera house in Sydney! Whatever Alice-Miranda does, it’s sure to be fun!

Thanks for all these splendid books. You are by far my favorite author!:D

Hi there,
I was wondering why did the Alice- Miranda’s book cover was a lot diffrent then the one I saw in your blog here in Indonesia?

xoxo, Nicole

*P.S. Really love your book… You became one of my favourite author now since i read your book. Can’t believe i got in to your blog and saw lots of your fans’ nice comments and support.
Wish you all the best in AM Scotland 😀

    Hi Nicole,

Do you live in Indonesia? Are you referring to the Alice-Miranda books that were translated into Bahasa? In different countries they sometimes change the covers – so that might be why you saw something different. I have the best fans – they are so supportive. I feel very lucky.

I can’t wait to see Miss Grimm’s baby. I wonder what her/his name will be. In Scotland is Miss Grimm going to go on the trip? Cause she is quite heavily pregnant. Either way I can wait to find out the babys name.

Where did Alice Miranda get born?
Her dads from New York and I’m guessing her mums from England.
Will lucinta start dating and kiss officially in the next book.
I can’t wait for miss grims baby.
And why is she called miss grim shouldn’t she be Mrs grimm

February 10, 2018 at 10:57 am

Alice-Miranda is supposed to live wherever you want her to. Alice-Miranda’s mother was suppose to be born where where Hugh was born. Have you read book sixteen? You should! It’s awesome!!! The best!!!

    P.S
Ms Grimm didn’t change her name when she got married so instead of Mrs or Miss, she has the title of Ms. : )

    -Bella:)

    February 11, 2018 at 9:36 am

    Jacqueline Harvey

    Hi Lilly,

I have never said where Alice-Miranda or her parents were born. They were all born in the same country; but I prefer that readers use their imaginations.

There will be some pivotal moments in the Lucinta relationship during Alice-Miranda in Scotland; I can’t say more- you will have to be patient for the June release.

Yes, excitement is mounting for Ms Grimm and Mr Grump’s new baby:). Miss Grimm has simply changed her title to Ms.

Hi Mrs. Harvey,

I have been hooked into Alice-Miranda’s adventures ever science she started school. I am currently sixteen and have read the series at least 7 times! I have a proud collection of all her adventures but I was wondering whether she would ever get the chance to come to Wellington, New Zealand? Also, I think you’re an amazing writer and hope you never stop writing! especially Alice-Mirandas adventures!!

February 10, 2018 at 1:55 pm

    Jacqueline Harvey

    Hi Heena,

Thank you for your post and kind words. I am delighted that you are one of the many fans who continue to enjoy the stories well into their high school years. Interesting, I can certainly see Alice-Miranda and her friends travelling to New Zealand- especially as my husband and I are building a house near Queenstown and are planning to spend part of each year living there.

I plan to continue writing the Alice-Miranda stories, as long as I enjoy writing them. At the moment, I cannot see a time when I will stop.

Hello,
Just a couple of questions.
Will Alice-Miranda be doing Highland dancing and/or Scottish Country dancing when she is in Scotland? I do Highland dancing and have the Australian Championships over Easter.
When will the Alice-Miranda tv series be aired in Australia? I have really been enjoying the books and would love to have a tv series.
I was wondering if Clementine Rose and the wedding wobbles is the last book in the series? I would like it if it was not.
I have just finished the first book of Kensy and Max. I am not sure I am able to wait until September for the next book!
Thank you for your awesome books.

February 25, 2018 at 7:03 pm

One of my favourite scenes in the book involves Highland dancing. That’s fantastic about your dancing and all the best in the championships. I’m not sure about the Alice-Miranda television series but we will know more very soon. I am writing another two Clemmie books at least. I’m so glad that you enjoyed Kensy and Max – I’m working on book 2 again starting next week.
Thank you for your lovely message 🙂

I’m Cassidy and I love your books. I am in the middle of book number 14 Alice Miranda in China. I’ve read most of the collection and enjoyed every single one. I’d also like to say that you are an amazing writer. I’m a big fan on Lucas and Jacinta’s relationship.

    Hi Cassidy,

Thank you for your enthusiasm and involvement in the stories. It is humbling, as a writer, when the amazing children who inspire me to write, tell me that they enjoy reading the stories as much as I enjoy writing them.

Thank you for taking the time to tell me!

and will the whole love triangle with caprice finally be finished like Lucas needs to stand up to her and tell her to back off because if I were dating someone and that was happening I wouldn’t be very happy with that but I just want them both to be happy because they are my favourite couple ever !!!!!

Hi Jacqueline Harvey,
I found this website a few days ago!
My name is Amy and I am 10 years old. I started reading Alice-Miranda 2 years ago!
Can you make a book about Alice-Miranda in Singapore, or Malaysia? I’ve been there and it’s good. I live in Australia, Adelaide. I love Alice-Miranda my favourite one is probably Alice-Miranda in Japan, with “Yoshi” (Kiko), and the Japanese inn.

Can I just say that I can’t WAIT for Alice Miranda #17!
Yeah I agree with you guys, I think Aleatha will be involved, and I think we can all guess that trouble maker Caprice will be in it causing trouble too.
I am wondering Jacqueline, Will Caprice ever turn into a ‘good’ character?
Also, when is the book most likely going to be released??
Can’t wait!
Oh and by the way, my family on my dad’s side is South African. My mum’s side is Aussie though.

    Hi Beth,

Alice-Miranda in Scotland is due for release on 1 June- so not long now! I have just sent the final edits and page proofs back to my editor and the book will go to the printer next week.

Oh and also, yeah I beat Jacinta and Lucas will have more ‘lovey dovey’ moments in book 17. It adds a romantic side to the book (I am not a fan of romance but Lucas and Jacinta are kinda cute)

    Hi Nandana,

Yes some of the readers coined the name Lucinta meaning Lucas and Jacinta together. I think it’s pretty cute. The Alice-Miranda television show would be on Channel 9GO to start with. I don’t know that book series but I will check it out. Thanks for your kind words.

Hi Jacqueline,

I have a few questions for you(but not too many because you’re probably busy with the books!).
Will all of Alice-Miranda’s friends be in Scotland with her?
How much romance will be in this book? I’m kind of interested.
Will there be any new characters in this book?

Thanks for all the amazing, splendid, fantastic books!!! It’s my dream to be an author like you! (And a chef or hotel manager! 🙂 )

Just finished reading Alice-Miranda in Scotland! It’s AWESOME! I totally LOVE the Lucinta moments. So cute! Love the way Neville thinks about A-M. It’s ADORABLE!

I have some ideas for the next Alice-Miranda book. I think you should title it ‘Alice-Miranda in Love’. Then you can continue relationships like Lucinta, Millie & Sasha, Blade & Caprice, A-M & Neville. Maybe you could also start Sep & Sloane’s love lives. Maybe you could also make Miss Wall and Mr Pienaar get together too!

I think that A-M should go to Italy, Australia, Mexico, Hawaii, New Zealand, Canada, and maybe even Antarctica! That would be cool.

I think that Miss Reedy should have a baby, and if she does can you call him/her Heather or Timmy? You also need a new mean girl to get in the way of everyone’s love lives. Maybe you could have a platinum-blonde haired girl called Stella or Destiny? I think you should also have a mean boy called Darren, and maybe you can make him and Stella/Destiny get together! They would suit each other. I can’t wait for the TV series! What time will it be on?

Thanks,
Charlotte

P.S. My favourite characters are Lucinta, A-M, and Marcus & Imogen.

Hi Charlotte – you have so many great ideas – love them! I never know where things are heading next so you’ll just have to wait and see. I’m still not sure what’s happening with the television series – it’s so tricky and all depends on everything falling into place. Let’s cross our fingers!

Hi Jacqueline,

I just finished reading Alice-Miranda in Scotland. It wasn’t just a GORGEOUS book but it was MAGNIFICENT which is a word that I hardly ever use to describe anything. 🙂

There is just no words that describe Alice-Miranda in Scotland!!! I loved the plot and how the characters are connected throughout the story.
At the beginning I was sad but end he end I was Esthetic!!!
But I was wondering how old Neville is and if he’s the same age as Alice-Miranda or maybe a year older.

SPOILER ALERT!!! If you don’t want to have a really important part possibly spoiled, do NOT read on! 🙂

Alice-Miranda and Neville would be really good together as they are both problem solvers and have a lot in common. I also wonder if Alice-Miranda feels the same way… But she did say that part about holding hands…
I should probably stop spoiling this… 🙂

Thank-you Jacqueline, you are my fav EVER author and I look up to you because I LOVE to write. Can’t wait for Alice-Miranda nineteen. And I really hope you make it! I Love Alice-Miranda and I think you are a fabulous roll model. 🙂

Hiya Miss Jacqueline!
My name is Bethany and even though I have grown up in Australia my dad’s family is from South Africa.

I have just read Alice Miranda in Scotland (I know! A little behind!) and it is great. How old are Jacinta and Lucas in book 17? Just because they are dating…… you know.

I have also read Breaking News – Kensy and Max, and it is great. Can’t wait for Book 2!!!!

Keep writing, because your books are amazing and you inspire young writers all the time. You normally give encouragements but I wanted to give you and encouragement.

    Hi Niamh,

I’ve recently been to Toowoomba. I did a school event at Downlands and they invited all the other schools but apparently it was a really busy day and only a couple came along. I am hoping to be back there again next year. I am so pleased that you have enjoyed your AM book. I’ve never revealled exactly where AM lives in terms of the country as some children think it’s like the Southern Highlands of NSW and others think it’s England so I’m happy to let you make up your own mind.

Can you fill me up on all the juicy gossip about Jacinta and Lucas.
They would make an adorable couple, the way Jacinta looks at him, the way he replies to her (tries not to be spotted by anyone) and of course and most of all the way Lucas looks after her. Please, mum is not letting me buy the books.

    Hi Mim,

It sounds like you might have to try and borrow them from your library. There are some very cute Jacinta and Lucas moments in Scotland (and for Alice-Miranda and Neville too). May I ask why you’re not allowed to get the books?

Hi Jacqueline,

My friend Rebecca and I are both 14 and should have outgrown the Alice-Miranda Books ages ago, but we both LOVE them. We have both read Alice-Miranda in Scotland and loved it, we love everything about it especially all of the little Lucas and Jacinta moments.

Do you have any more Alice-Miranda book ideas or know for sure if you are releasing any more?
Do you have any new series coming out in the future?

We love all of your books and can’t wait for new ones to come out.

It is called Alice-Miranda in New Zealand and features our favourite holiday spot, O’hope beach. It is an awesome beach with lots of sun and is the perfect place for boogie boarding! Maybe you could actually write about Alice-Miranda coming Aoteroa (The land of the long white cloud)?! Some other cool places in New Zealand are Wellington, Napier, Oakhune, Queenstown, Taupo and the Coramandel. Thank you so much for the exciting and heart-warming stories. Please keep writing forever!

    Hi Lola and Madi (Wellingtonians),

I love NZ – so much so that I am building a new house there at the moment. It’s just outside Queenstown so I think an adventure in the land of the long white cloud sounds a great idea. I will live part time in New Zealand and part time in Australia. Kensy and Max will definitely go to NZ in their adventures.

Best wishes and thanks for your lovely words.

Dear Jacqueline,

I cannot thank you enough for your books, I have loved them since I received the first Alice-Miranda on my 9th birthday in 2010. I am very excited to say I just got a call from the bookshop where I work to say that Alice-Miranda 17 has arrived for me (much to the concern of my boss). After not studying for year 12 exams all week and instead reading both Kenzy and Max books and catching up on Alice-Miranda 15 and 16, this comes as another disastrous blow for my literature trial exam tomorrow as I will be occupied for the rest of the day, and not by Browning’s poetry. I cannot wait for number 18. You are never too old for these stories, thank you for that.

    Hi Sam,

I have to say that your message is THE BEST! Thank you for loving my girl and all her quirky friends and adventures. I do hope that you can drag yourself away from all the fun of AM and Kensy and Max to do a bit of study on Browning’s poetry :). All the very best with your exams and I can’t tell you how much your message means to me.

    Best wishes,

Hi Jacqueline

I’m a fan of your books, and have read all of them. I think it would be cool if you did an Alice Miranda book in New Zealand (cause I live there) and think it would be interesting, and an Alice Miranda book in Israel (I’m from there. And my name is also Israeli) I think it would be cool and different, also I can see Mr Plumpton accidentally getting arrested by the tight security in Israel.
I also have a couple of questions.
.how old is neville
.can we have some Sasha and Millie moments in the next book
.and please can you make more Lucas and Jacinta interactions and romance in the next book, cause I feel they didn’t have as big roles in a.m in Scotland as they did in the earlier books when they weren’t a couple, but I like them together and want to read more about them.
. Will sep get a girlfriend, I can kinda see him and caprice together if she changes and becomes nice

Sincerely a fAn who hopes you write back
P.s sorry about the length

Lots of great questions and some that I am still figuring out the answers to as well. I love Lucas and Jacinta and I think they will feature a lot in the next book. Sep with a girlfriend is a cute idea and Neville is about 13. Mr Plumpton getting arrested is an interesting thought – actually you’ve just given me an idea there!

    Thanks for your lovely message.

    Best wishes,

Good ideas! Perhaps Alice-Miranda might need to spend some time at school again though then have a fabulous adventure overseas.

    Hi Laelah,

Thank you for your beautiful message. It makes me so happy to know how much you enjoy the books (as it takes a lot of effort to write them and it’s wonderful to see them appreciated the way they are). I adore Lucas and Jacinta too and there is plenty of them in the new book – I look forward to hearing what you think.

Hi
I was wondering about Miss Grimms baby. There was a bit about it in one of the books but we haven’t really heard much more about it. I definitely think that Alethea will be back and I feel although she might get into trouble in some way and not take the blame or she didn’t do anything wrong. Could you please do a book of Alice-Miranda going to New Zealand (I am a Kiwi) and have her visit some well known places there. I had to move to Thailand from New Zealand and a book of Alice-Miranda going to Thailand and learning new things about the country would be a really fascinating story. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the books and I am doing a re-read of all of he books at the moment for the third time to refresh my memory before I get the next book. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for some absolutely awesome books,
Samantha

    Hi Samantha,

Miss Grimm’s baby appears in Alice-Miranda Keeps the Beat (book 18). She is super cute and the girls adore her. Alethea makes a reappearance in AM in Scotland and she’s changed quite a bit. That’s exciting you are living in Thailand. It must be hot though – much hotter than NZ. We are in Queenstown at the moment staying in our house here for the summer. We love it. I adore that it’s not too hot most of the time as I have an aversion to humidity and heat. I’m so pleased that you enjoy the books – I hope you get to see the movie soon too.

Hello Jacqueline!!!!!!

I’ve heard you’re putting together Alice-Miranda in the Outback. (super excited for it to come out) I was wondering if Lucinta comes along and there is more romance because I absolutely adore the couple and so does everyone else. But this would be a spoiler so don’t tell hehe.
Also I just watched the AM movie and it is amazingggg but what was different to the book was… why does Alethea look like Caprice so much? idk that was what was different BUT overall the movie was great.
Anyways I’ve texted too much and I will leave you to it hehe

Thank you SO much for your amazing books you are such a talented author

Hullo Jacqueline,
I simply adore your books and I am thrilled that you also write the Kensy and Max series.
I was wondering how many more books you are planning to write in the Alice-Miranda and Kensy and Max series. I own all the Alice-Miranda and Kensy and Max books in both series so far, but it would be exquisite if there were more books.
Also, a suggestion is that they could visit Antarctica. It is most likely truly spectacular there, so I firmly believe that it would make a superb setting.
I just want to say thank you for writing the delightful books, and I aspire to be an author one day.
Thank you for your time.
