Better Reading Kids

Hello Everyone,

I recently did an interview with the lovely folks at Better Reading Kids. I have to say that the questions were some of the most interesting and insightful that I’ve been asked for quite a while. I thought you might like to read it here.

Firstly, I hope I am not bothering you! And secondly thank you for your reply! I actually have all the Alice-Miranda diaries, books, a journal, I even have a small bag and I checked through all of them and found, in the Alice-Miranda 2017 Diary, a Q and A with Jacqueline Harvey page and saw what are your favourite books? We surprisingly have the same interests! Thank you so much! You have inspired me and I am very thankful. I also love all the books!

Hi Zowie,

I pay attention to lots of things around me and am always on the lookout for ideas for new stories. I plan a lot and then I sit for hours and hours in front of the computer typing, then re-reading and editing. It’s lots of fun but hard work too.

Hello Mrs Harvey,
I love the Alice-Miranda series. It is my favourite series. I have commented before on a blog and it was a while ago, I told you how excited I was that my name was in your book! I recently got Alice-Miranda in China and loved it. I was worried for a while with Jacinta and Lucas. But happy in the end. I have a question though, not sure if it is to difficult though. If Alice-Miranda has solved so many crimes and mysteries in so many countries, wouldn’t she be well known? I loved how Millie and Alice-Miranda thought about the future. I was thinking about writing about what they talked about. Sorry this is so long, but I really love the Alice-Miranda series and I’ve read every book but 1 and I have most of them to. Thanks for letting me ramble on.

Hi Imogen,

Alice-Miranda manages to avoid publicity – I think she prefers it that way! The new book, Alice-Miranda Holds the Key is set back at Highton Hall. There is something terrible happening with Alice-Miranda’s father’s company as well as a mysterious new neighbour! Lots of excitement and intrige in the lead up to the annual garden party and open house.

I hope you’ll enjoy that one too!
