BILBY AWARDS – Alice-Miranda at School is on the shortlist for 2017!

I am so excited to announce that Alice-Miranda at School has been shortlisted in this year’s BILBY (Books I love best yearly) awards run by the Queensland branch of the Children’s Book Council. There is no limit as to the publication date of the titles that can be shortlisted and books can be from Australia or overseas. It came as a huge surprise to me!

Interestingly Alice-Miranda is the only book in the Younger Readers’ Category to have a female protagonist. Girl power!

Alice-Miranda at School by Jacqueline Harvey

The 78-Storey Treehouse by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Old School by Jeff Kinney

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J K Rowling

Wonder by R J Palacio

The Midnight Gang by David Walliams

The Bad Book by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton

If you’d like to cast a vote in the awards, you can go to the website here and click on the Survey Monkey link.

A huge thank you to the students who voted for Alice-Miranda in the nominations!
