Hi!
I started reading the clementine rose series when I was seven years old and when someone told me that there was Alice Miranda too, I started to read them right away. I love them all and my favourites are when she goes on holidays because of all the new sights and food that she gets to experience. I also love the ones when she is at school because my mum went to boarding school and I never got to. But in Alice Mirandas world it sounds really fun and I wish that it was real. So I have made it my mission in life to read the whole Alice Miranda and Clemintine Rose series.
– Molly 11 Victoria, Australia.
PS. I need a little help please Mrs. Harvey. I really want to subscribe to your blog but I don’t know how. Could you please help me? Thank you for reading my e-mail and I hope that you reply

Dear Ms. Harvey,

I look forward to reading the new series, Kensy And Max!! They sound incredible! I was thinking about an Alice Miranda or Clementine Rose book set in Holland! I read Alice Miranda in Hollywood and I think it is absolutely amazing!!! Do you have any ideas for the next Clementine Rose book?

You will always be my favorite author.
Lots of love from your big fan Jaida.

    Hi Jaida,

Thank you for your kind words. I’m glad that you enjoyed the sneak peak and Alice-Miranda in Hollywood. Thank you for your suggestion of a Dutch adventure.

I am super excited about Kensy and Max, too! It’s an exciting but busy time, finalising the cover of the first book and working on the prologue as well as the structural edits for ‘Breaking News’.

There has been so much happening with Clemmie’s family and, whilst I always have story ideas swirling around in my head, I’m not sure about the next Clemmie, as Kensy and Max is taking most of my headspace:). I can say that there may be some interesting additions to the family!

    Hi Lilly,

So glad that you enjoyed Alice-Miranda in Hollywood and the sneak peak at Kensy and Max’s characters. It is humbling for me to hear and see fans being so involved and interested in the stories.

I am finalising some touring dates at the moment- keep an eye on the Events tab of the website. I can’t make any promises about this year- but I will almost certainly be travelling to Victoria and Tasmania as part of the Kensy and Max launch early next year.

    October 17, 2017 at 5:39 pm

      Jacqueline Harvey

Twins are interesting. I didn’t know the difference between identical and fraternal twins when I was younger. That’s true – boy and girl twins are called fraternal and then there are some twins of the same sex who are non-identical (fraternal) too and others are identical. My husband had identical twin aunts and even into their 80’s you could hardly tell them apart. I’ve also taught triplets – two girls were identical and the other wasn’t.

      October 19, 2017 at 2:58 pm

      Taylah

So? You can still be identical I youre boy and girl! You can still look the same!

      January 16, 2018 at 12:02 am

        Jacqueline Harvey

I agree they can look alike but medically speaking they aren’t identical twins, they’re fraternal twins. Only twins of the same sex can be identical because they came from one egg split in half whereas fraternal twins were their own individual eggs.

    Hi Meera,

Thank you for your feedback on Kensy and Max. I am super excited about their characters and many of the other characters in the first book, ‘Breaking News’. There have been more than a few ‘laugh out loud’ moments.

I hope that the fans enjoy reading the story and series, as much as I have enjoyed writing it:).

Dear Jacqueline Harvey,

My name is Beth and I am almost 13 – so probably one of your older readers. I love to read but am more interested in realistic fantasy books like yours then the sci-fi/horror books my friends read. I still love Clementine Rose too. I am annoyed that I have to wait till my local library gets each new book before I can start to read them (my parents won’t let me buy them). I hope you will continue to write more wonderful books.

Good Luck,
Beth

    Jacqueline Harvey

    Hi Beth,

Thank you for your post and for sharing your love of reading.

I have to say that Alice-Miranda has many fans who are well into their high school years- in fact, I often hear from parents who enjoy reading the stories with their younger children. It is fine to keep reading the stories for as long as YOU are enjoying them. I hope that you will enjoy the Kensy and Max series, which is for older readers.

I canโ€™t imagine a time when I will not be writing stories โ€“ as long as I still enjoy writing them then why stop!

    Best wishes,

    Jacqueline

I cant wait until Kensy and Max come out! I love Alice Miranda and Clementine Rose and I think this is going to be just as good. I’ve read every one of your books lots, and im reading Alice Miranda in Hollywood. Hopefully Kensy and Max is just amazing. I was wondering do you have birthdays for your characters? Because I can see Alice Miranda and some other characters are growing up, but i don’t exactly know if they have a set birthday.
Thx

Your inbox is one of your email folders. Please let me know if you have not received the Newsletter, but please remember that, whilst I do check and answer fan mail and the blog as often as I can, I am often travelling or working to writing deadlines, so please be patient.

    Hi Maryam,

Thank you for your post and kind words. It’s a busy and exciting time in the development of Kensy and Max- I am working, with my amazing publisher, on finalising the cover and prologue for ‘Breaking News’, as well as finalising the structural edit for the first book and writing the second book. Whilst, there is much to do, I can’t wait till launch date, either and hope that the fans will enjoy reading the first story as much as I have enjoyed writing it.

I have never been specific about the actual birthdates of the characters but, yes, they are growing up:).

    Hi Beth,

I would love to come to Tauranga-the Bay of Plenty is such a beautiful part of the world. Why not ask your teacher/Librarian to make contact via the website https://jacquelineharvey.com.au/teachers/, and I will see what I can do. One of the things that I love most about being a writer is being able to get out to meet the amazing children who inspire me to write. I can’t promise anything, other than I’ll do my best.
