I agree, Jaqueline should go to NZ. I don’t live there, but it’s unfair that kids in NZ don’t get to see/meet her because they don’t live in Australia. Are you coming to WA?

I look on baby name websites and I look up online phone books and lists of names in various countries. I also collect interesting names at book signings. Ideas come from everywhere. Often travelling inspires stories and sometimes it’s things I read in the paper. Sometimes I just make it up!

No – Lee is a very common surname in Asian families – a bit like Smith or Jones in Australia or England.

I would have to find out where your school is exactly but I would do my best. Kensy and Max: Disappearing Act is super exciting – they’re at Alexandria and then in Rome. There are baddies galore and the kids get to go on their first real mission. I love it!

Or like Clementine Rose going to New Zealand?
Or Kensy and Max going to New Zealand?
Or a new series of someone who lives in New Zealand?

I absolutely love your books, I’ve been reading them since I was little. I was just wondering how many more Alice Miranda books you were planning on writing (I hope lots and lots), and also if you were planning on writing Alice-Miranda stories when they were all older

    Hi Jacqueline
Is Jacinta’s dad going to be in AM18 because I think if you introduced him into the story it would have a really good scoop.
i’ve always wanted jacinta’s dad to be in it because it might get a deeper look into Jacinta.
Just a suggestion, of course it doesn’t matter what you put I the stories we always love it.
    Thank you

      Hi Lexie,

Jacinta’s dad was in the early books but only as a man from afar – he was a pretty horrible guy and that’s why her mother was fairly awful to begin wtih too. Maybe he could come back and be a ‘changed man’ – that’s a really interesting thought. Thanks for putting that in my head!!

      Best wishes,
      Jacqueline

I have yet to recover from Alice-Miranda in Scotland to be very honest. All of your books are well-written, of course, but this one was impeccably clever and all the sub-plots tied together so nicely and JACINTA AND LUCAS *unintelligble screeching* MY LITTLE HEART COULDN’T TAKE IT!

It was also really nice to see all of the characters from the other books, too! I was wondering when Neville would show up again, it has only been, uhhhh, 13 books 😉

Oh no has the book been out long enough for this to not be considered spoiler-y? Is Neville and Jacinta/Lucas spoilers???? I hope not that would suck. But wow. My little heart. Is blessed.

(P.S Everyone don’t talk to me unless you want to hear about Lucas and Jacinta because that’s all I’m going to be talking about until the next book sorry not sorry hahaaaa

Delilah your comment made me laugh and smile – it’s wonderful and I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the book so much. I loved writing it and I don’t know how I’m going to top it – but believe me I’ll do my best. Yes I love the Neville and AM interactions and Jacinta and Lucas are adorable. There will be more adorableness to come.

      Thank you!!

Well I’m not sure about Lucas and Jacinta – that’s a long way off yet. The next AM book is going to be a school drama with lots of drama and the next Clemmie is out in December (as long as I get it finished soon).

Hello Jacqueline! I really love all your stories and I wanted to thank you for the amount of time and dedication you put into them! I hope you don’t mind me asking but I’ve seen a lot of comments about Jacinta’s Dad, but I have to wonder if we’ll perhaps see more of the elusive Kitty?
I love Lawrence and Charlotte has done a wonderful job as Lucas’ step-mother but I’m just so dreadfully curious about Kitty Nixon and if she still loves her son and wants to see him. Will she perhaps show up at some point?
    Thank you in advance!

oh oh! i was actually just going to ask something similar! im very sorry, it was a long way back and my memory sucks but…kitty left lucas with her sister because she couldn’t deal with him right? and due to this lucas felt abandoned by her? that did feel very open ended, after all, that had been lucas’ only parent for 11 years, surely it must have been difficult. so I was very curious about that and I just thought I’d pop in and drop my two cents in hehe. (sometimes I forget that lucas is very short-tempered, I mean he punched a boy in the nose for bullying a new kid! but I have to wonder if that was also a byproduct of a less than stable mother/son relationship? hmmm, something to ponder over I suppose). I’m super sorry for my grammar, im on a phone and have very lazy thumbs hehe, I hope you don’t mind humouring my silly little thoughts if you have time.
