Saturday Disney – don’t miss the episode 8 November starting on 7 then on 7TWO

October 17, 2014 by Jacqueline Harvey 11 Comments

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of filming with the crew from Saturday Disney in their studio at North Ryde.  The hosts, Candice, Nathan and Teigan are all gorgeous in every sense of the word – so welcoming and warm and absolute stunners too!

So how does television work?  Well, for a start this episode was to be pre-recorded which was a bit of a relief seeing that I was worried about messing up.  First of all I was met by the lovely Keely who is the Production Assistant for the program.  She took me to the green room and we looked at what was going to happen in the episode.  I’m not going to tell you because that would spoil the surprise.  Zoe, my publicist from Random House Australia arrived and we ran over some things in the script.   Keely then took a big bag of books I’d brought in onto the set.

Candice stopped in to say hello and then we waited until it was time to have a few minutes in the hair and makeup chair.

Then it was time to go on set.   It’s really big – much bigger than what you see on the television and it’s pretty cool too!  I had to put a microphone on (under my top so you can’t really see it) then we ran through a couple of rehearsals.  I was getting a little bit nervous by this stage but the hosts were wonderful, helping me relax and feel like it would all be fine – which of course it was.  Television is really fast paced and you only have a certain amount of time to get everything done (and get it right).  I loved it!

We filmed a few different segments and then it was all over in a blink.  I can’t wait to see how it comes up.

If you’re keen on a career in television you should have a look at Candice, Nathan and Teigan’s web and Facebook pages.  These guys have all worked for years to get where they are now – and I see huge futures ahead of them.  Make sure you tune in on Saturday 8 November on channel 7 from 6am then switch over to 7TWO at 7am!

      Hi Aiesha,

I will try to get a copy of the segment and post it on the website so you can see it soon. I didn’t get to see it either as I’m away overseas at the moment.

      Best wishes,
      Jacqueline

      Hi Morgan,

I’m glad it was okay as I haven’t seen it yet – I’m away overseas. It was great fun filming the segment and the hosts are all so lovely. It sounds like you’re a good speller.

      Best wishes,
      Jacqueline
