Please Jaqueline come back to Brisbane I love your book talk and it would be great to have the rest of my Alice-Miranda and Clementine Rose books signed. Even though you came recently in January 2014. Last time you came to Capalaba Public library my mum was working so me and my 17 year old sister took me and she was planning to drop me off and go on the free internet computers in the library instead she stayed there the whole time. She said it was really interesting and she really enjoyed the stories. My mum would like to come to the book talk if it came back to Brisbane too. I love your books and I hope you come back to Brisbane.

Hi Olivia,
Thanks for writing. Did you meet me at school today? I don’t know if I’m much help because I love Alice-Miranda and Clementine Rose equally too. If you were getting a book though I’d probably start with the first one in each series and then work your way through them. I;m going to be visiting the bookshop in Formby tomorrow afternoon from 4pm. Perhaps I might see you there.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline

Hello Jacqueline, my name is Poppy and I am 10 years old. I love the Alice-Miranda books and have every one of them. It would be great to meet you here in Brisbane! Reading is my favourite thing to do and I would like to be an author one day.
Hi Poppy,
I should be coming to Brisbane again next year so keep an eye on my events pages on the website. If you don’t already get the newsletter sign up for that too because I always say where I’m travelling to on there. I’m so thrilled that you’re enjoying the books. Being an author is great fun. Lots of hard work but fun too. Keep up your own writing.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline

Hi Poppy,
I will be coming back to Brisbane next year so it would be lovely to meet you too. I’m so pleased that you love reading – it’s a great thing to do!
Best wishes,
Jacqueline
Hi Jacqueline,
I know that what I’am writing is not really about your brilliant post! But who illustrates the Alice-Miranda and Clementine Rose books? Is it you, or someone else?
Love Grace:)
Hi Grace,
My illustrator is a very clever woman called Anne Yi. She’s an animator by profession and she’s utterly brilliant (and the sweetest person you’d meet). We didn’t actually meet until we’d done ten books together, even though we both live in Sydney. Now we know each other and meet up a few times a year.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline
Dear Jacqueline,
I love reading your books and can’t wait for more of them to come out! I am 10 years old and I love reading about Alice Miranda, Milli, Jacinta and Sloane’s adventures. I met you on 24th September at Enchanted Years in Williamstown. I would like to meet you again one day and I hope you can come to my school one day and inspire more kids to read your books. I liked listening to you talk today and the stories you told about yourself. When I am older I would like to be a children’s story writer and fashion designer.
From Ashlea
PS My school is called Bethany Catholic Primary School and it is in Werribee, Victoria.
Thanks for your lovely message Ashlea. It was great to meet you and I loved coming to Williamstown. I will definitely be back again next year so hopefully I will see you again and I’ll pass your school name onto my publicist. Hope you’ve had a great second week of holidays too.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline
Thank you Jacqueline! I hope my school will ask you to visit. I gave them the poster that you signed for them and it is in my Learning Centre on the notice board with a picture of you and I.

Hello Jacqueline, I am Ruby and I am 10 years of age. I have recently become hooked onto your Alice-Miranda series, and it’s the same story for my sister Pippa; with Clementine Rose. I am coming to meet you on the 25th of September in Melbourne and I am really looking forward to it. I think you are one of the greatest authors of all time!
Best Wishes,
Ruby
Hi Ruby,
Thanks again for your fabulous interview in Melbourne last week. I’ve been slow to reply to my emails and comments as I’ve been flat out this week trying to finish Alice-Miranda at the Palace. It’s almost there (although now it’s way too long so I have to see how I can curb a storyline or two). It was great to meet you and Pippa and your mum and aunty. I think you have a big future ahead in journalism if that was a path you were keen on. I felt as if I was being interviewed by a professional. Today I’m filming for Saturday Disney which will be fun too.
Hope the rest of your holidays have been great.
Very best wishes,
Jacqueline
Hi Jacqueline
We had a wonderful time at the Tea Salon yesterday. Thank you for signing my books. It was great to meet you and listen to you speak. I love all the books and can’t wait to start reading the new ones.
From Charlotte
Thanks Charlotte – so pleased that you could come along and I hope you’re enjoying the new books.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline
Hi Jacqueline,
I loved sharing morning tea with you at the Tea Salon yesterday, so did my best friend Sophie.
There were so many types of scrumptious foods there!
I think Dolly Oliver made the food, because Alice-Miranda says that she is the best cook in the world!
In the afternoon when we came back for the Writing Workshop i enjoyed doing, “show, don’t tell.”
I loved the story you told us about the fancy toilet in Japan!
We had so much fun. Thank you for a GREAT day!
When you come back to Melbourne i would like to meet you again.
You’re a great author.
from Gabriella
Hi Gabriella and Sophie,
Thanks so much for coming to both events. I agree with you that Dolly could have made the food!! I will definitely be back in Melbourne again twice next year so make sure that you watch the events and the newsletter for dates and times. Hope this week of holidays has been lots of fun too.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline
Hi Jacqueline!

I still can’t believe this is real and every now and then i pinch myself!
It was nice meeting you!
Thank you,
Nimasha
Hi Nimasha,
It was so lovely to meet you too. Please don’t pinch yourself – that would hurt!! (Yes I’m joking). Hope you’ve had a wonderful holiday.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline
Hi Jacqueline! = D
My name is Arwen and I’m 10 years old. I spend most of my time doing circus at the flying fruit fly circus and reading. I LOVE your books!!!!!! You should come to my school in Aulbry-Wodonga. I would be amazed if I actually got to meet you! My best friend in Alice-Miranda would definitely be Jacinta. (Or maybe Millie, Alice-Miranda is a little bit to perfect for me.) When I grow up I would love to be an author of children’s books, I really like writing. Please, please, PLEASE come to my school! It would be like a dream come true. Okay, bye.
P.S Can you come to my school? (It’s called Frayne Collage.)
Hi Arwen,
How amazing to be part of the circus. I think we are actually planning to do a tour in Albury Wodonga in March next year!! I will make sure that I tell my publicist (who organises my tours) about your school and fingers crossed I get to visit. I’d love to meet you too. Thanks for telling me who you like in the books – it’s really fantastic to hear what kids enjoy about the stories and characters.
Have a great term!
Best wishes,
Jacqueline
Hi Jacqueline.
Being in the circus is very fun. (And a little hard at times.)
March is when my birthday is so that would be PERFECT! It would be the ideal birthday present getting to meat such a genius. I’m going to the flying fruit fly circus school next year (witch is in Wodonga.) Anyway,
Bye! = D
Hi Arwen,
Hopefully I will be touring your area in March – My birthday is in March too. Looking forward to meeting you.
Jacqueline 🙂
Hi Jacqueline I’m Teagan I live in Victoria melbourne. I have always wanted to meet you and I can believe I missed the chance by one day I’m like crying so much because I’ve always wanted to meet you. Will you be able to one day come back here and let me know?! I hope you come back. How busy are your meet and greets!? I love you so much and I’m a crazy fan of your books I have just finished reading Alice Miranda on camp and loved it. My favourite series by far is Alice Miranda. Even though I love clementine rose and her adorable teacup pig lavender, I still love the mystery involved in alicemiranda and the characters. Hope you reply lots of fan love, Teagan xo
Hi Teagan,
Thank you so much for your lovely message. I am sorry I missed you this time in Melbourne too but rest assured I will be back at least twice next year – once during the term to do school visits and after school activities and once during the school holidays to do high teas and bookshop and library events. Make sure that you’re signed up to the newsletter and then you’ll get news sent to you about upcoming tours. I’m thrilled to hear that you loved Alice-Miranda at Camp. Can you tell me what you liked about it so much? I love to know the reasons why a particular book has hit the spot! My meet and greets can be pretty busy – but I never leave until I’ve met every child and signed all the books 🙂
Have a great term Teagan and hope to meet you next time I’m in Melbourne.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline x
P.s plz can u come to the Frankston library next time
Hi Jacqueline
Thank you so much for signing my books. I love your books so much that I can never put them down. It was so nice meeting you. please come back to Perth again soon. Your talks are so good.
Thank you
Hannah
Hi Jacqueline
I love reading Clementine Rose & can’t wait for your next one to come out! Will you be doing any High Tea events in Sydney soon? We would love to come. I’d also love to do a kids writing workshop….I’m 8 years old. Do you think Clementine Rose might be made into a movie one day?
Hi Tea,
I’m so pleased that you’re enjoying the Clementine Rose series. I will be doing some high teas in Sydney in the April school holidays next year as I am going away overseas for 4 months in a little while to do lots of book events in Singapore and the United Kingdom. I hope that one day Clementine might be made into a movie or television series. Alice-Miranda has been signed up as a television series so perhaps one day it could happen for Clemmie too. Fingers crossed. I will be doing some workshops next year as well. Just check my events page and make sure you sign up for the newsletter as I always tell readers what’s happening each month.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline
Hi Jacqueline
Thank you so much for your reply to my message. I’ve started reading the Alice-Miranda stories and I’m so excited that she will have her own tv series!! She’s lovely. My mum loves her too. Will the show be animated or real actors? I can’t wait to meet you at one of next year’s events, I am very inspired by your writing. I love the illustrations too, you are a great team! Do you have any ideas for a new series?
Hi Jacqueline!
I am really looking forward to the release of the next book in the Alice-Miranda series: Alice-Miranda at the Palace. I was just wondering: Would it be possible to give us a quick sneak-peak on what the book is about?
I am so excited about the book and cannot wait until it is released.
Thank you!
Charlotte
Hi Charlotte,
It’s wonderful that you’re enjoying the books so much. Alice-Miranda at the Palace is a real spy story with Aunty Gee’s mischievous twin grandsons thrown into the mix as well. The children get to spend a week at the palace quite unexpectedly – for Alice-Miranda’s own protection (but from what!!). In the end perhaps it’s not her who’s in danger at all!
It will be out on the 1st February – hope you enjoy.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline 🙂
Hi Kiki,
Alice-Miranda at the Palace is a bit of a spy story. Alice-Miranda seems to be in some sort of danger – not that her parents or anyone else knows about it, other than Aunty Gee and her closest advisers. But perhaps the real danger is not to her but to someone else only they don’t yet know it. The children are all at the palace for Aunty Gee’s jubilee celebrations and she convinces them to stay on. Her grandsons Louis and Edgar are there too – very clever boys but pranksters and they team up with Caprice Radford whose mother is in charge of the feast. There’s lots of fun as the group go exploring in the palace and grounds but there’s a mystery lurking around every corner too. Hope you get to read it.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline
Hi Jacqueline!
I heard in one of the previous comments that alice miranda was signed up for a television series do you know exactly when its going to start?? I can’t wait already jumping up and down
Hello Ms Harvey,
My name is Anya , I am 8 years old and I love Alice-miranda so much that once when I was in the library I was looking for “Alice-miranda takes the lead” and I couldn’t find it, I felt sad and I had to get a different book. I felt so bad I left my bookbag there but I got it back in the end.
I also wanted to ask if there is a real person called Alice-miranda or someone else who inspired you? Oh and, I live in Hong Kong and would really love to meet you! Please come to HK!! 🙂
Love Anya xo
Hi Anya,
I’m sorry that you were having trouble getting the book – I hope you’ve managed to get it mow. How many of the books have you read? I visited Hong Kong a couple of years ago before Alice-Miranda was known there at all. I would love to come back again soon. I have been to Singapore several times mow and have a lot of readers here. Alice-Miranda isn’t a real person but she feels like she is. She was initially inspired by some girls that I taught – a sort of mix of their characteristics and looks but then I think she just grew into herself and she really became the best bits of so many children I’ve known over the years.
Thanks for writing and I will do my best for a visit to HK soon.
Jacqueline xx
Hi Jacqueline,
I absolutely love the Alice Miranda and Clementine Rose series and can’t put any of the books down. They are my favorite two series of all time and you are my favorite author.
I am wondering if you are coming any where near Wagga Wagga in 2015 because I would love to meet you and I have so many questions to ask.
It would be a privilege to meet you and maybe even get some of my books signed.
My little sister Katherine loves reading the Clementine Rose books and she dressed up as the Clementine Rose and the surprize visitor for book week I went as Alice Miranda in New York.
Thank you very much
from Eleanor
P.S. my school is The Lutheran school Wagga Wagga.
Hi Eleanor,
I am really hopeful that we are doing a regional tour of NSW and northern Victoria next year and I would love to visit your school. I will let my publicist know that you’re keen! I’m so glad that you and Katherine enjoy the books and I would love to see a photograph of the two of year in character. I ran a competition as part of my newsletter this year and had lots of entries from girls who had dressed up.
Thanks for writing and I hope I get to meet you too.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline
