You’re coming to Perth!!! Not many authors of books I read come to Australia. The ones that do only go to Sydney an Melbourne 🙂 are you going to dymocks in garden city or Westfield carousel anytime? Can’t wait for the next alice-Miranda book to come out 😀

    Hi Kiralee,

I actually live in Sydney so visit lots of places around Australia and overseas each year. I am going to Westbooks and several Dymocks stores (not Garden City this time) but others. Check the events page on the website for more details. I hope I get to meet you and please make sure that you remind me that you wrote on the blog if we do get to meet.

    Best wishes,
    Jacqueline 🙂

hi jacqueline
i love your books and i even have had my books signed by you. you missed my school but you visited a school nearby. i have to do a book review for my speech and i did the book alice miranda here’s my speech

Hi today I am going to do a book review on alice miranda

alice miranda is a series of books based on a little girl called alice miranda highton smith kennington jones. it is a fictional book that is filled with adventure from beginning to end.

alice miranda is too young to start at winchesterfield downsfordvale acanemy for proper young ladies so miss grimm the headmistress who hasnt been seen for 10 years sets tests that are almost impossible. she has to go on a camp for 5 days by herself. on the way she finds mr grumps, miss grimm’s old husband and takes him back to the school not knowing there is still more challenges waiting.

what i like about this series of books is that alice miranda doesnt ever give up even though there are people trying to get her to fail.

these books are good for girls aged 8-12 years old. i rate this book 10/10 because this is my favourite book.

here are some facts about the author

jacqueline harvey spent her life working as a teacher at a girls boarding school.

In her spare time she likes to play golf in exotic locations

It wasn’t until November 2012, that Jacqueline took the giant step away from a 20 year career in schools as a teacher to become a full time writer.

    Hi Rosie,

I’ve never actually said. In my mind it’s a kind of made up place (a lot like England) but I’ve never specified as I want children to make up their own minds 🙂

    Best wishes,
    Jacqueline

    Jacqueline Harvey

    Hi Emma,

Thanks for your lovely message. It’s always great to hear from the readers. I don’t know why you can’t find any of the Clementine books. Have you looked (and asked) at your local library? Perhaps they have just been slower to get them in their collections. Maybe you could ask at the local bookshop too. I’m not sure when I will get back to Albany – I was there last year – but I hope I can get over again soon. Mr Freeman is a bit of a mystery isn’t he! Best wishes,

    Jacqueline

    Hi Armaan,

I don’t think there is any such thing as books for boys and books for girls. There are just good books with fun and interesting characters and sometimes they happen to be boys and sometimes they are girls. It really makes me happy to hear that you enjoy reading the books with Haleema. I hope that you continue to read with her.

Caprice is definitely not behaving herself with Aunty Gee. She’s made a horrible nuisance of herself ganging up with Aunty Gee’s naughty grandsons 🙂
